Casa del Mar y Sol - literally, "House by the Sea & Sun". Our house has two apartments, Las Margaritas and Dos Cervezas, which can be rented separately or the house can be rented as a whole. We are a block and a half from the beach and less than five minutes by foot from restaurants, groceries and shopping.
Las Margaritas & Dos Cervezas are two bedroom apartments.
Less than a block and a half from the main beach in Barra de Navidad and less than 5 minutes by foot from the heart of town, Casa del Mar y Sol – or House by the Sea & Sun is our Mexican Casa in a quiet neighbourhood on the edge of the downtown area. The property is securely gated and in a well lit residential neighbourhood, steps from the edge of town and the beach.
The apartments share a gated courtyard with a covered sitting area, a second floor back deck and a beautiful backyard garden, complete with pool. All apartments have wifi, smart TVs, coffee makers, fridge, towels, and maid service*. Las Margaritas and Dos Cervezas have full kitchens.
All bedrooms and living areas have large overhead fans ensuring comfort throughout the year. Las Margaritas (downstairs apartment) has air conditioning. Dos Cervezas (upstairs apartment) does not have air conditioning.
Our house has been updated to include many of the comforts we take for granted in Canada and the US – but are not usually part of a home rental in Mexico. We have added a pressure system and hot water heater – full pressure in all showers and hot water to spare!
Our pool is heated by a large solar panel system – no freezing cold water just because the pool is partially in the shade some months! Our toilets flush properly and there is regular maid service – you can even arrange daily service and cooking with Rosa, our housekeeper who, along with her husband Chuy, have been maintaining our house for 15 years.
All apartments have coffee makers and new smart TV’s. We also have two BBQ’s – one up and one down – and dining tables and chairs on both levels as well as pool loungers and towels for the pool. You have all the amenities you could need at a home that is gated and within walking distance of everything on a well-lit quiet street at the beginning of town.
