Great place – comfortable, clean, well maintained. Four of us enjoyed our 2 week stay on ground floor apartment. It is close to everything and has many extra touches like books and even a crib board! The kitchen area is large and open, good for a group. Some home renos next door were unlucky timing for us …but only loud for 3 mornings. The street is generally quiet with friendly neighbors. We would definitely consider booking again. The dipping pool was a bonus on hot afternoons. Judy E. 3/4/2018

Casa Mar y Sol Very nice casa. Rosa (housekeeper) and Jesus (husband) are exceptionally nice people and do virtually anything you want around the property. Very clean and secure property, and location cannot be beat – you can walk anywhere in Barra from there – very central and quiet location. All the neighbors know the owners so there are always people around to keep eyes on things. Overall, our rating is excellent. James M. 1/22/2018
Super Reatreat Amazing retreat, lovely clean pool, close to chicken take-out, walk to town or use the bikes provided. Five minutes walk to watch the sunrise. Nothing is lacking, thank you Marisol. Minutes to bus and taxi stand. 12/22/2016
Great property, great location I stayed here 2 years ago and will come back again. There were many upgrades that we noticed since our last stay. It’s a short walk to everything in Barra and Melaque is a cheap cab ride. Mike Y 2/11/2018
Loved it! We really enjoyed our stay here . We rented the top two apartments, and both were clean and well kept. The beds and pillows were comfortable and the kitchen adequately stocked with everything you need to cook with. I am not sure if the tv worked – we never turned it on! 🙂 There are two 24 hr 7-11 type stores within a 2 minute walking distance and the whole town can be explored by walking. Lots of markets and if you venture out, you might find the best bbq chicken ever. The people were super friendly, and never did we feel worried walking around at night. We would like to go back to Barra, and we will love to stay here again. Karen W 2/15/2019
Wonderful time in Barra We had a great time, it was our first time in Barra, everyone friendly and helpful. The rental property was located with in a 15 minute walk to everywhere in Barra. I felt very safe and the property was well maintained and clean. We enjoyed our stay and are talking about returning next year!!! Thanks Jayne S 2/10/2020
Perfect Spot This was a perfect spot for us during our stay in Barra. The location was great: close to everything yet just far enough away to enjoy quiet peaceful nights. We were able to walk to the beach and the entire town easily from this location. Communication with Marisol was outstanding. The only issue was our inability to get the Roku to work. However, who really needs tv when the beach is only a few blocks away. We would not hesitate to stay here again. Jeremy W 1/10/2020 (Owner’s note: Roku has been replaced)
